DESIGN APTITUDE TEST

Important instructions during DAT :

  • 1. Admit cards can be downloaded from dpu.edu.in one week prior to the DAT. Kindly take coloured and clear print of the admit card for the DAT.
  • 2. Candidates must be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the DAT exam schedule.
  • 3. Candidates must ensure that the system is on, duly charged, high bandwidth internet connection and the camera is in working condition throughout.
  • 4. Candidates must ensure all the material necessary is readily available with themselves. Candidates are not allowed to speak or call for assistance during the test.
  • 5. Candidates must keep their admit card, Aadhar Card / Driving Licence as ID proof, if asked for verification.
  • 6. The Total duration of the Design Aptitude Test is 90 minutes.
  • 7. Total duration for SECTION - A is 60 minutes only.
  • 8. Total duration for SECTION - B is 30 minutes only.
  • 9. SECTION - A will have Multiple Choice Questions and you have to select the appropriate answer for each question.
  • 10. SECTION - A will have 60 questions. Each question is of one mark.
  • 11. SECTION - B Question will be an offline paper-based assignment on Drawing & Sketching for 40 marks to be uploaded on the link that is provided in the section B.
  • 12. SECTION - B Link will open only after the Section A is complete or 60 minutes are over. Whichever is earlier.
  • 13. Candidate must ensure that his/her NAME is mentioned on the back side of the drawing sheet to be submitted on the specified link in section B.
  • 14. There is no negative marking for any questions in either section.
  • 15. You should be seated in an isolated room without any disturbance during the test. Once you are given access, you will not be allowed to leave your seat till the test is over and submitted.

Materials necessary to attempt SECTION - A :

  • 1. Laptop or Desktop with high resolution operative camera and high internet bandwidth.
  • 2. Do not use a calculator, digital watch during the test. If detected by sensors, you will be disqualified without any further warning.

Materials necessary to attempt SECTION - B:

  • 1. Laptop or Desktop with high resolution operative camera and high internet bandwidth.
  • 2. A3 size blank white papers
  • 3. Scale, Eraser, Sharpener, Pencils
  • 4. Do Not use sketch pens, crayons, highlighters or pastel colours. You are expected to use pencils only for the drawing assignment.
