How to live life with “The Sustainable Lifestyle of Design”? (Part-1)

How to live life with “The Sustainable Lifestyle of Design”? (Part-1)

Manufacturing firms need to follow design protocols to design and develop products for better sustainability.

Most probably People love their childhood and their childhood memories. If you belong to the village, then it would be a golden memory.

Villages in India have a different set of minds, they have more focus to live life in a simple way or we can consider their way of life more environmentally friendly.

Some villages in India still have a great way of sustainable approaches toward life.

It was the lifestyle of Indians to Adopt and practice sustainable living as an old process of living life in India.

But when we talk about civilization and the progress of humans in “modernization” around the world, people become more active to consume products that belong to their lifestyle or make their life easier.

So, we can consider that people are becoming more habitual to consume products online as well as offline. Today we are living in the time of the “Consumerist Modern Era”.

In this “Consumerist Modern Era” had broken the living style of humans which was most known for a living style of a new generation.

Early human lifestyle, rituals, and behaviors mostly focused on stability, continuity, and balance with Nature, with the help of industrialization people followed the easy way of production in all the areas which are related to human lifestyle.

In Agriculture, they apply “Monoculture” with the help of pesticides. It is found that people are consuming Natural resources for traveling and “over-consuming the fuel”.

Metropolitan cities have access consumption of electricity for “Air Conditioner”.

It was realized that after a certain time period continuous consumption of Natural Resources with Industrialization including Business, Manufacturing, Transportation, Agriculture, and Architecture the human will be difficult to survive.

Natural resources have limits in terms of existence. According to the study on “Economic Growth in India” It was found that “Economic Growth in not deliver the benefits where they were most needed”.

Regarding the last few years Reports, Studies, Thesis, articles, books, and published documentaries.

It was clear that things need to be improved in a positive way to make sustainability applicable everywhere.

Sustainable approaches to “Product, Service, Ideas, and Systems”

To apply sustainable approaches, we need to think broadly about Economic, Environmental, and social factors.

Humankind has to relate to the natural world and the impact of human activity on its conditions. Acid rain may have caused major environmental damage.

To the broader system thinking new design protocol must involve. New “sustainable ideas and systems” must be studied and applied to real-life situations.

Manufacturing farms have to reduce “the materials and energy intensity” and convert “the waste into valuable secondary products”.

Manufacturing farms have to follow “Design Protocols” and involve the following steps.

1. Identifying the system Functions and boundaries

2. Establishing Requirements

3. Selecting the appropriate technologies

4. Developing a system Design

5. Evaluating the Anticipated Performance

6. Plan a practical means of system deployment

To design the “Products, Services, and Ideas” Organizations, Design Farms, and Industries have to produce the best solution for reducing environmental resource consumption and waste generation to an acceptable level and full fill the satisfaction of human needs and enhancing the economic value to business enterprise.

To be building a successful sustainable design one has to understand “Product- Process-Service” and interact with these broader systems.

Product Lifecycles and (Reuse)

The manufacturers or the owner of tangible products have to provide additional services such as maintaining and Replacing or Exchanging.

Usability Management and (Up cycles)

The manufacturers or the owner of tangible products have to keep feedback services on with Supply Chain Management (Distributor, Retailer) those are selling the functions of the product.

They have to modify the distribution and payment systems such as sharing, pooling, and leasing.

They can get feedback from the end users regarding the problem of the designed product and what would be up-gradation of products (mostly focus on post-buying behavior of consumers).

Outcome Base (Recycles)

The manufacturers or the owner of tangible products, services, and Ideas have replaced the products with the request of Voice Mail so consumers will get the best services and outcomes.

It will be more effective so whatever default is found in the manufacturing process it would be rectified easily.

Everyone will be in an active mode to make the sustainable process more productive.
